This is a rare Italian edition of Bellin’s 1757 map of the Carolinas and Georgia. It also includes parts of modern day Virginia and Tennessee. It exhibits thr course of the Callamaco (Tennessee) River and shows how European settlements quickly give way to unexplored lands claimed by Native Americans. This was originally part of the French edition of Abbe Provost’s L’Histoire Generale des Voyages.
